No tail lights
"Exactly" the same thing? A week at the dealer, then a week with the local mechanic?
Anyway, what is wrong is there is a hot wire making contact with a ground. That is not easy to track down. I would start at the steering wheel area since that's the only moving parts.
Somewhere in this thread there are pictures of how to remove the airbag and wiring. https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/how-...ng-wheel-1912/

no tail lights, keeps blowing out fuse #69.
Bought a new relay, new fuse, still blows the fuse.
Had to put in a 15 amp fuse so I can have tail lights to drive home.
Directional lights, break lights, everything else works fine. Just no tail lights when I am driving at night/day.
Sent it to the dealership, they look at it for a full day and still couldn't figure out what's wrong. Said they have no idea how much longer this will take them.
Frustrated with them, i sent it to a local mechanics and has been with him for a week now. Every time he thought he got it fixed, took the car out for a ride, etc, blows a fuse again!

Don't be abstruse. I was being pointed not obtuse.
Second, if you read my question, you should be able to tell that I was asking the question of the person who posted originally, not you or anyone else.
I did realize, given the time frame, that the chance of him even seeing it was relatively small. However, I tend toward optimism and its worked for me a time or two.
In any case, I was not asking for a reply from you, nor do I care what you think is appropriate or otherwise.
I am not unaware of the difficult/problematic nature of electrical issues. I am aware that it would be unlikely for the underlying problem
To be the same. However, it wouldn't be a bad place to start looking, and as I've said, I tend toward optimism.
Again, I LOVE the word "abstruse." Nicely chose sir.
Okay, first of all, abstruse? Awesome word!

FYI. You can pull up a members last "log on" time to see when they last signed in.
I've been a member here for a long time and think I've helped out some folks in the past. I'll even jump into other people's threads and share some of my knowledge. MOST people are thankful for the extra help.
Guess I'll just follow whopper and say "I'm out".
