I've been spending some extra time with my car getting to know it and am trying to work out what are normal attributes for the HHR and what requires dealer service.

So, is it normal: Nice drive, car heated to operating temperature, when I park, turn off the car and get out I can here a tin-ny tinging from under the car for 30 seconds or so - sounds like part of the exhaust. Should I have the dealer look at it or is it normal?

 

That sounds like a normal heat ting from the exhaust. Many cars to this and with todays engines and hot converters that is normal.

I would not be worried.
