Odd brake/reverse light issue

Im having an odd issue that I just recently noticed. When I put my car in reverse, the left reverse light, and right brake light dont come on. Im also not to sure if the right brake light comes on when pressing the brakes, as most of my driving is during daytime. Ive pulled out both lights that are not turning on, and do not see any break in the coils. Should I just get replacement lights and put them in, or would this issue lie somewhere else?

Ive already checked to make sure all my fuses were in securely, and did not see any posts relating this.

Back up to a wall or something and step on the brake. Look in all mirrors to see if there working. If one side is out take bulb from good side and try in bad side if still dont work then its not the bulbs. do lights work when not in revs. If they work when not in rev. the maybe bad ground on that side or one bad bulb.

Sounds like someone could have mistakenly changed the holes that the bulbs went in on the one side, or maybe both..

I had tried to do what oneton had suggested before even posting it, but it was difficult. I tried again this morning, and found out the brake light had one filament coil broken, and the reverse light was just loose in its coupler.
