Man i guess chevymgr doesn't like me anymore:confused:

Have you checked the seal strip at the top of the door to make sure nothing is stuck on the inside of it? Do you wear hair gel? If yes, did you lay your head on the seal strip?
If the above is not the cause, then somehow grease got on the window guide most likely. You will have to remove the panel to find out where it came from. There is grease on the window regulator, motor and can be on the tracks & cables. The scratches are from dirt getting stuck in the grease and as the glass moved on the window guide it scratched your tint. If you still have warranty, take it in and let them fix it for free. A good dealer would cover the re-tint too. |
Yea I'm still under warranty, and no i do not wear hair gel. it has to be something coming from inside the door panel. Thank a lot man i thought you were ignoring me lol. i really appreciate your input on this matter. now move up here so you can be my chevymgr lol.

I get that film on both windows along with water on the drivers side now after a good rainstorm. Sort of hate the idea of letting them tear the door panels off though but I guess that is what needs to be done...visions of rattle city

Do you feel the love now Chad? |
I have this same problem and that is why I have not had my windows tinted yet.
|
D'oh, my front passenger window just started doing this... one long vertical scratch in the tint, in the middle area.
:( |
When I brought it in I had the dealer check it out and said they could find nothing wrong or anything that would cause streaks
3 months later and since that day streaks a plenty Whatever...still starts every morning Goose |
