Oiled doors
Oiled doors
Well I oiled all my vehicles today.
Oiled all the holes that seap to the drain holes, doors, tailgate, hood etc.
This seems to have worked in the past to stop or slow down rust in this nord country winter weather.
70 degrees yesterday maybe snow tomorrow.

anyone else doing this, makes sense.
I was thinking of putting POR 15 or chassis saver in the holes first before the bad weather with salt comes this way.
Give this thread a read, it touches on the door rust issue and some methods members use to prevent it.

I have used WD40 but there was a can of PB blaster on the shelf this time.
I have done this on other vehicles for years in the past.
Vehicles done the other day were 1969 GTX [garage queen], 2010 HHR, 06 F150 Harley, and a junk plow truck.
With the rust problems I figure any oil is good oil or better than none.
Just don't forget to get the one with the lil red straw that u can stick in the lil holes and direct it it all directions.
A little mess for a few days with the runout but I just hope it helps a lot.
