I have an hhr 2009lt have problems with power locks since ignition recall have changed batteries in fob but most times have been using manual lock and key last night I got locked out as key would,nt work , seems as if something un hooked about to call caa to get me in ,any sugestions, cheers oldloadie

 

Your fob, while it doesn't consistently unlock the doors, I wonder... it it still could ready the rear hatch to be opened? And when you do get in, check the fuse.

 

a) did this start immediately after the recall service?
b) the key would not work in the door?

 

Perhaps a new key pad for your FOB will fix the issue if the contacts are worn or dirty, check out this thread for ideas
