Angry Overheating - 2nd time

I had overheating problems again today for the second time in 5 weeks. Today I noticed the temp guage moving up on my way to lunch with CJ and Cowboy. I decided I'd take it straight to the dealer (after lunch), CJ was nice enough to follow me and I'm glad he did. I didn't make it more than 4 miles down the highway and the temp reached 240 and was not cooling off at highway speed. I played it safe, pulled over and called for a tow. Stayed cool in CJs HHR waiting for the tow. Thanks CJ. When I got to the service department the service writter looked at me and asked "So how's your day" I shot back a look that answered the question for him, but stayed calm. The thermostat was replaced last time, but I've got a feeling its something bigger today. I'm thinking that it's losing fluid. CJ took this picture at lunch today, this is after the cars had been sitting for an hour and looks like I've got leak.

Yikes...that doesn't look or sound good at all. Please keep us posted on what happens. Good thing CJ was there to help out and keep you from getting any hotter than you were already.

Don't you just hate people that ask stupid questions like that?
Hello...I just had my brand new car towed here ya dipstick...how would your day be?

Looks like your HHR seen CJ's and couldn't contain itself!

Seriously though, I hope it's nothing serious, maybe just a loose hose or something.

Just got the call from the dealership. The heater core is leaking and being replaced. Should be ready tomorrow afternoon.

Awesome. That's covered under the warranty isn't it?

Yes, it's covered by the standard warranty. Hopefully I'll be out of the rental and back to my HHR soon.

It was a pleasure meeting you at lunch and CJ is always a blast to get together with. Hopefully we can get together again down the road. Hopefully you will be back in your ride soon. Very nice ride by the way! Good luck and keep us posted!

I got my HHR back! It's running much cooler. Didn't get above 194 this morning after I picked it up. I'll be listening for the next few days to see if the sloshing noise is still present over the next few days.
