P00010 Code

Pulled a P00010 at Advaned Auto - Camshaft Intake Solenoid. I took it to the dealer and the replaced the EXHAUST Solenoid instead of the intake (under warranty) Does that sound correct? Whopper? you da man on Solenoids..

Thanks!

Did it fix the car? If so, be happy.

P0010 (not P00010 ) - definitely points to the INTAKE solenoid. Being that the problem and the codes can be intermittant, I can see the problem reocurring if they changed the wrong one. But it may not pop up again for a week or more.

If they listed a part number that they replaced, see if it matches what is listed at the start of the thread in the How-to section. It might just be a typo on the mechanics part (exhaust insted of Intake).

Thanks Whopper - I just looked at the service ticket again. It says replaced camshaft position exhaust actuator, but lists both intake and exhaust actuators as being installed. So we will see. Thanks again for all of your knowledge. Car runs great very happy with it.
