P0010 code on 2010 Hhr LT - help!
P0010 is the INTAKE SOLENOID.
That is the ONLY code I ever got. Mine started shuttering gradually. I would only notice it once in a while at stoplights, then it got worse and finally started throwing the code. I even reset the code with my scan tool, only to get it again the next day.
So, to verify the code, I stopped by a local store. The autozone "expert" tried to sell me the "sensor", but my gut said wait until you check the forum.
I read the threads that are listed in the above threads and went with the SOLENOID replacment.
Took less than a half hour ( cleaned stuff as I put it back together )....
Fixed the issue completely. And I didn't throw money at it trying sensors.
MOST folks will replace BOTH the intake and the exhaust solenoids while they have the air box out of the way, but the P0010 is the INTAKE one....the one in the front.

Ok thank you for the advice guys. I don't mean to seem like I don't believe you.
I just wanted to be sure.
I ordered the part and got it today. $43 shipped!
Going to put it in and see how it does!

Good luck with your project please understand there are very few for sure fixes. Even if you go to a dealer. It's all in the diagnostics which takes time and actual tests for each code. Myself and the others on here try to help by sharing our experiences that we have had with our own cars. It would be almost inpossible to truly diagnose a problem without standing in front of the car and having the test equipment to test it and even then I have had wired problems that has led me down the wrong path. I guess what I'm really tring to say is if something should go wrong with your project don't get upset will the people that are trying to help you that have no real obligation to do so.

You are wrong - the procedure does detail how to remove the "engine cover" which is actually the air filter.
Once again, I suggest you take it to a dealer or a repair shop, before you break something, or make it worse.
