P0690 ecm power relay curciut high

It's a 2009 HHR 2 liter. I'm getting that code and no engine light but my HP tuner shows the code. The car starts and runs all right but perhaps low battery voltage. Any other advice would be appreciated as to the problem and where to troubleshoot. I played with a few relays and no big difference.

The thing is the battery is brand new so maybe it is my 3yr old after market alternater. Would there be any other device that would choke off voltage availability other than the alternator itself

Loose or corroded connection would do it. donbrew has said before that the starter is in the charging circuit.

Have your local parts palace check the battery and the charging system, a bad alternator will show up in the tests

Yes a good idea I noticed a lot of rust from this last winter so I will go through my electrical power and negative Rusty connection spots and see what needs to be replaced. Overtime I have noticed less and less voltage not the 14.8 as expected. Also check the wiring to the starter another good idea and of course getting the charger alternating output tested. Thanks for the updates. I installed the HAHN intercooler and piping and have run into a lot of codes and headaches but I love the HHR so it's good to know feel the support to keep going but a lot of work so far this summer as well a full rust proofing and try to learn hptuner. Knowing my car and what I remember seeing I'm going to go with a rusty starter wiring

Between the alt and starter is a fuseable link. The wire then continue s to the ecm.
I replaced the 16 inch wire and the code has disappeared.
