But similar priced vehicles (Kai Magentis, Ford Fusion, Nissan Sentra) have much better quality, in my opinion.
GM may have skimped a little on our interior as they seem to do on all their lower priced vehicles. GM is definitely improving also. The interior on my HHR is 1000% better than the interior on the '99 Sunfire other than maybe the cloth they used. Of all the vehicles in our class and price range none have the same level of innovation and technology as the HHR nor do they have a five star crash rating both front and side. To me it seems like GM spent the design money where it counts. I guess I'm more thankful for the positives and don't really care about small cosmetic issues. Like I pointed out I bought my HHR knowing that mark was there.

Check your other vehicles folks. I drive a 06 Ford E-350 work van and can see the lines on the passenger airbag everytime i look over there. The HHR is not the only vehicle with this problem.

In your signature, did you mean the word "Angel"? I don't understand 'don't drive faster than your angle can fly" ?

I changed it. I wondered how long it would take someone to see it.

Yes, the Magentis is a completely different type of vehicle. I've compared the fit and finish of both the HHR and the Magentis. Both are roughly the same price. My HHR was around 29,000CAD and a luxury Magentis is around 29,000CAD. Both have leather, sunroofs and lots of goodies. I'm ridiculuously impressed with what Kia has done with that car. Why the Americans can't provide the same level of finish I don't know. The Kia is an extremely well finished and well appointed vehicle, albeit a completely different category of car.

Go buy a Magentis and see for yourself what "Kia Quality" means. Kia's are a tax on people who can't do math and have no credit.

I wont go that far, as we have had 3 kia's One because of the above reason and the other 2 because of the cost to get in them.
So I will say they are buit very well.
But if you buy one beware you loose to much once you drive it off the lot.
We got lucky when we got rid of the kia mini van. We did take a hit but not as bad as I was thinking it would be.

We had a 2004 Kia Rio Cinco.

It was great little car. We got what we needed to out of it when we sold it but it didn't take much to get into it.

With a new baby and another on the way it was too small for us.

Mine has the same indentation but no whitish stress marks. It has been there from day 1 on mine and really wasn't a factor for me.

Been meaning to post regarding this....and forgot. Thanks "Hills" for retrieving it from the cob webs.

I had noticed in the passenger air bag outline, some time back, VERY FAINT indications of black under the gray dash color. You need to really look well....but it's there.

Really not causing any concern at this time. I have a dash cover which conceals it. And again, I would need to call it to your attention for you to notice it.
