PCM Issues?

I drove my car today and she shifted real hard, like there wasn't enough tranny fluid or something (I had the car in two weeks ago to GM for General Maintenance). When I got to where I needed, turned it off. Went in. Cam back and stood right outside my car and tried the remote start, wouldn't work. I got inside the car, locked the doors with the fob and tried remote start again. It just dings at me and flashes the transmission light on the console. So, I start the car with the key just fine and I move it into drive, the doors don't auto lock like usual. Then I drive it and the shifts are fine, not hard anymore. Then I get to another place and put the car in park. The doors don't automatically unlock. Something weird is going on. Does anyone know what the issue might be?

Probably needs to be reprogrammed. Take BOTH keys back to the dealer for this.

Well, I stuck the scanner on the car today even though the engine light isn't on, and there's a pc1818 (Manufacturer Controlled Transmision) code stored. So, looks like I'm back to the dealer... Thanks for the idea Snoopy.

Mine did the SAME EXACT thing this past weekend. I almost thought it was a programming error for the new year. All of a sudden, everything started working correctly. I have an appointment for next Monday to have it checked out. Man that is weird that we had the EXACT problem.

That is really wierd... heh. I hope it all of a sudden starts working for me, cause it's cold here and this is the time of year I bought the remote start for. I've got a appt on friday, so I guess we'll find out what the deal is. On the phone, the mechanic said he thought it may have something to do with the control module... guess we'll see.

Curious to know what that did to your HHR to fix the problem.

Just got mine back from dealer. They adjusted the something or other and it seems to be working fine now. Will see.
