Pioneer Stereo Stinks
mine sounds fine. i don't ever see the need to ade my stereo to the rear, so i don't know if mine does that or not, but i will say this much for the Pioneer system in these cars. i went and saw Dark Knight with the SoCal HHR folks at the drive-in, and listened through my car on the supplied FM station they run it on. i saw Dark Knight again yesterday at the local theater, which is a fairly modern tech theater, ie decent sound system, digital projectors, etc. it sounded better at the drive-in through my car than sitting in the theater. and that little open air sub back there, yeah...it was doing some good rattling of my car with the movie's underlying bass in the more tense scenes.
The boom-boom bass
I always push a little bit more of my sound to the rear speakers because I like to have a lil extra Boom-Boom bass in my Hip-hop music. If I want to disturb the peace I push all sound to the rear, roll down the windows and crank the volume to about 95 percent. I have the premium Pioneer sound system and it sounds great. My equalizer has full base, medium mids and about 90 percent high’s.
One of the main reasons I bought the car was the radio controls on the steering wheel and the premium sound. Previous to this I had a 95 Firebird with steering wheel audio controls and Monsoon premium audio it also had great sound.
