PO843-tranny press sel- powertrain coverage ?

I need some advice before I send my wife of to Penske Chevrolet
I'm assigned to bed after a knee surgery, and I have to send my Wife off to the dealer for a look-see.

She took it to the Zone today for an error code print out
It came up PO843 which could be a Trammision pressure selenoid problem.
I believe the previous owner had this repair done once under warrenty,

If this turns out to be the problem, can I hopr to get a warrenty repair at 52000 mi
I hope they don't do the baffle her with BS because of the CAI.

Any advice on how to make this a happy ending ? (letting someone else work on my ride and also have to get my wife in the middle is not an easy pill to swallow,,,and I have been swallowin' a lot of them lately)

Speed-

They shouldn't give her any grief over the CAI, that didn't cause any problem..
You should be covered under power train warranty.

I know it must be hard being sidelined, & sending the wifey..But You gotta rest, & I think she can handle this..

Have her ask to make sure it's is a covered warranty repair..

The service writteer said in our phone conversaqtion that it was probabily the gas cap.
I don't know if it was the cap or not,but the good news is..it went out on it's own.
When I told him that I had the Zoners pull a code for me,he said that they also would pull the codes for no charge.I have never heard this from a dealer before

It's a new world out there. We have had a code reader/clearer for our Service Writers for a while now. Smart dealers know that you have to keep up with the competition. Every advertisement that we send out tells people we will read codes for free, even our web site.

Your problem may be this:

#08-07-30-018: Intermittent Service Engine Soon (SES) Lamp Illumination During Light Throttle Operation, DTC P0843 (Inspect for Torn Torque Converter O-Ring) - (Jul 1, 2011)

Subject:

Intermittent Service Engine Soon (SES) Lamp Illumination During Light Throttle Operation, DTC P0843 (Inspect for Torn Torque Converter O-Ring)

Models:

2007-2008 Chevrolet Cobalt, HHR, Malibu

2007-2008 Pontiac G5, G6

2007 Saturn ION

2007-2008 Saturn VUE

with 4T45-E Automatic Transmission (RPO MN5)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Condition

Some customers may comment on an intermittent SES light during light throttle operation.

Upon investigation, technicians may find DTC P0843 stored.

Cause

This condition may be caused by the TCC intermittently releasing and re-applying ONLY on a slight upgrade and under light load conditions. This condition will not occur on level road, downgrade or a more aggressive upgrade.

Correction

Technicians are to inspect the torque converter O-ring and replace it, if necessary.

If the O-ring is not torn, refer to SI for other possible causes.
