Smile Possible TPS needs replaced again?!

Christmas Day 2013 I got in my 2010 Chevy HHR LS, started up to warm the car went inside to grab gifts when I came back out. My car sounded horrible. It sounded like it was revving up to go somewhere and the front end was jerking.
The dash kept displaying "Reduced Engine Power" and the RPMs kept moving up higher and higher. Normally my car is a very quiet car you can barely hear it when you start it so I knew something had to be wrong I took it to the local Chevy here in town. They had my car for 4 days. Did a smoke test to diagnose it well it was the Throttle Positon Sensor. That set me back $420 to replace. Car has ran great! No problems since having the recalls fixed. yesterday when I got off work went to the gas station to fill up. Drove a few minutes and I was home.
An hour later I walked back outside hit my remote start button got inside car sounded like normal before I started to put the car in gear it was making those awful jerking noises and sounded like it was revving up again and the RPMs were moving high just like it was last time. No messages were displayed in the dash. I waited a few hours later and started the car again no noise just the check engine light came on. I drove it around the block car seemed just like normal. It just worries me cause the light has never came one before since I've had the car. I had a oil change 2 weeks ago, front/ back brakes replaced. New tires. I made an appointment for Wednesday to take it back to the local Chevy Dealer.

Sorry to hear about your troubles.

You could take your car to an auto parts store (Auto Zone, Advance, O'Reilly's, Pep Boys) and they will hook up their scanner and give you the codes that were set with the Check Engine Light coming on. They do not charge for this service.

Bring back the codes to us and we might be able to steer you in the right direction.

And save you a bunch of money!

I believe the GM repair is warranted for 12 months - 12,000 miles. If you are over those numbers but close to them, the dealership might do a Customer Courtesy repair at No Charge.
