Power steering inop after Jump Start

Hello,

I dont know if I have the same problem. But yesterday while jump starting my wife's car, I receiveed the power steering message. It was a very hot day and I was in teh garrage, after coming home from work (a 50mile drive, highway). I checked the fused and it is intact. I was tired, so i let it sit over night, I am going to check now.

Jumping should nto have hurt it, right? Figure the fuse would blow first, right?

Nope went out today, and no message and no power steering. I put a code scanner on it and no codes came back. So, is the same issue?

Anyone know if there is only one fuse for the EPS motor? All I see in the owners manual is a 2 amp fuse in the fusebox driverside center console. Does one of the relays in the underhood fuse box have anything to do with it?

Regards,
Rotor

Engine compartment fuse box. Fuse # 1. It will blow if not jump started correctly
If you don't have an owners manual, you can find an on-line manual at this thread https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/general-hhr-4/online-owners-manual-3074/

an08HHR you are that is what is broke.

Anyways, I tried pulling it, yikes was scared to break it. So I tried pulling the ones next to it, same thing. So, is there a trick to these things or do I grab my vice-grips and pull? :)

Okay all fixed up with 5.00 fuse. Thing was hard to come out, but I maybe a wimp, except judging how tight it was going in I may not be the problem. Eitherway, back to driving with one finger :)
