Puzzled

I have 2006 2.4l with 130000 miles on it . So I changed the timing chain balancer chain and both tensioner and all guides. When finished car started right up sounds good. But now my t/c light is on and I have s hard shift. This was not present before i did the work. And after driving about 7 miles my check engin light came on with a p0171 code. Dont know if any or all is related to one another . Any one have suggestions were I can start looking for answers to these problems

The hard shift is a result of the P0171. You may have bumped something to cause a vac leak; like the PCV tube or any of the tubes connecting to the intake manifold. Or forgot the MAF connector.

I will check for a vacuum leak. The maf is connected the flex pipe isnt cracked and it appears that all vacuum lines are in good shape but i will double check

Up date

Cleared the code . Checked for vacuum leaks couldn't find any. The traction control light came on at idle but no check engine light. Reader codes again and have a p0171 pending code. Next step cleaning maf. I also checked all wires and connectors around all areas I was working in and didnt find anything broken or disconnected.

It means that the #1 O2 sensor is sensing more oxygen than the computer think it is allowing into the combustion chamber. You might want to check the fuel pressure, it is possible for a bad fuel pump to cause it.

Another up date.

Cleaned maf and car has been running for 20 mins no t/c light no check engine and no codes. Hopefully that's the fix
