Questions for Chevy parts/service mgrs

Hi guys, just trying to find out what to expect:

I've had a front end suspension rattle for the past couple of weeks, and I finally had the time to crawl under today; I found out that it is coming from the lower joint on the sway bar end link (pass side). It's easy enough for me to do myself, but I have a couple of questions:

1) I assume I'll need to replace the whole link rather than just the faulty joint, right?
2) Given that this was likely "pothole induced", what are the chances of having this done as warranty work? Car is 1 year old/ 28500 km.
3) Anybody know if the cobalt share that part with the HHR?
4) A part number/ballpark part price would be fantastic, but I won't push my luck any further.

Many, many thanks to those answering!

Yves

Looked at mine and looks very much like a link that went bad on my wife's minivan a few yrs ago. Was very easy to change. My guess it is should still be covered by warranty since you only have 28,500 km which is under 18000 miles here in the US.
Price from GMparts.direct is about $20USD Msrp is over $34 USD http://www.gmpartsdirect.com/catalog/frameset.cfm had to use a 2006 yr to get the part to show up since it didn't show 2008yr
