rear turn signals not working

2010 hhr panel, last week one of the rear blinkers quit working, today the other one did too, i replaced the bulbs and they are still not working, BUT when i put it in reverse both new bulbs come on like they should, what am i missing? i tried to check all the fuses that could relate to those lights... however i never found a fuse in the manual that specifically states it is for the rear turn signals.... please HELP!!!!!!!

Sounds like a ground wire problem. When your reverse lights come on it grounds the other light.

Those kind of problems are very time consuming and hard to do. Basically touch every wire from end to end and test every connection. Sorry.

Do you have any aftermarket wiring to the tail lights like trailer towing or motorhome flat towing?

Question........

When you put in in reverse, your tail lights AND the reverse lights (white) came on??? So you had a red and a white light on from both sides. Did you also check for the brake lights?

Brake lights are not working either.
White reverse lights are the only thing working now.

Well, you are gonna have to get your hands dirty, or take it to a shop.

If you want to get your hands dirty, start checking the sockets for a good ground. If all the grounds check out, then you have a problem with connection(s) to power. And check all your fuses to the rear lights (check your owners manual for details).
