Rear window

Not the movie.

2006 HHR

Lowered my rear pass window this am. When I raised it, it stopped half way up.

The window would not move by hand. I lowered it again, big mistake. Now it is stuck wide open. Neither console switch or door switch will move it. I grabbed it and it will not budge. Tried the lockout switch no difference.

Regulator or motor ?

Mike

could be just dirt in the switch, switch switches first then move on to the motor and regulator . and rent the movie, Jimmie Stewart is awesome in that classic Hitch**** thriller!!

HaHa....the content filter bleeped out Hitch.c.o.c.k!!

I'm putting my money on the switch. Mine is glitchy sometimes, but I rarely roll them down.

haven't had trouble with the window yet, but lock button sticks and door won't open even if I use the fob. that happened with my 96 Corsica, was the motor.

It will have to be taken apart to determine what the problem is. We can't diagnose the cause of a problem like that over the internet. Start checking the switches first, then move onto removing the door panel if you determine it isn't a switch.

I'm thinking motor or regulator. But you have to have hands and eyeballs on it to tell.

Ripped off, OK removed, the door panel. The hardest part is removing the water shield from the door skin. Found the cable to the motor wrapped all over the place. Cut and snipped the cable, removed old motor. Waiting for new motor to arrive. Window is in the up positioned secured with blue painters tape.

The other one with Christopher Reeve (dead Superman) sucked.
