Thumbs up Rear window not rolling up using rear door switch

I have been having a problem with my HHR. The driver's side back door window would lower with the switch on the door, but wouldn't go up. The switch on the driver's door worked just fine. I fiddled with it tonight and got it working. I just pushed up and down several times and it started working. Would it be a good idea to spray the inside of the switch mechanism with WD-40 or a silicone spray? I play guitar, and I fixed the pickup switch on my Telecaster by spraying silicone in the switch and now it works perfectly. Hopefully it's fixed for good but if it's going to be unreliable I'd rather fix it.

WD 40 or silicone spray would not be my choice.
Get a can of contact cleaner/lube that is made for electrical components. Brand choice is up to you.

I have developed the exact same issue within the last few weeks. BOTH of my rear windows are like that. Gonna try cleaning the contacts before replacing.

In most cases if the rear switches are not working but the front ones are the problem is in the front switch.

The front is a master switch and has the ability to over ride and or lock out the rear doors.

Putter. On your year the master switch is the drivers door switch. I do not know what year bugo has.

Looks like Bugo has a 2010. Might not be a problem at all, the button might be pushed. Have you guys checked the rear window lockout button on the driver's door? When I rest my arm on the armrest, it usually pushes that button by accident. If someone is in the back seat, they ask me, "hey, how come the window doesn't roll down?" and I say "whoops, try it now".

Had the same issue.

Both Rear switches failed, One would roll down not up and the other didn't work at all. Master switch worked fine.

I replaced the master first by suggestion and it did not resolve the issue. I had to replace the actual rear single switches.

2010. The power window switches are on the doors, thank god.
