Rear wiper freeze!!!

Here what happen, here in quebec we received snow one day, the other it rain, so there no way you can keep your HHR nice and clean during winter... So, every time I start it and wait 5 to 10 min. for the truck to warm a bit, I jump in and it the road, my rear wiper stop and go and stop and go, like it freeze up, and the temperature is between -5C to 5C(23F to 41F.) after 30 min, it working ok !??

Does any one leaving in a cold wheater have that problem!!

That has happened to me on one or two occasions but switching it from on to off and back on again made it work fine...kind of a reboot!

I have had this occur with other vehicles off an on...not HHR specific.

I don't have that problem. I removed my rear wiper...it didn't clean the area that well anyway.

I have to agree with Deb. The area that's cleaned by the wiper almost isn't worth the bother. However, the wiper on my 8-year-old minivan just started to fail on me and I really missed it. However, I'd be sure to get the dealer to fix your asap. The only way to improve a product is to point out the things that are wrong with it!

Mine cleans the entire back window, with the exception of one area on the passenger side about 4 inches long by 2 inches wide.

Not sure of the blade is wonky or what, but since I just can't pop into an auto parts store and buy a new one, it'll have to do for now.
