Removing rear window EGR Vent...easy way to do it?

I've decide that the vents aren't gonna cut it on my HHR...front ones came out fine..the rear ones are a different story...

The tape has really fused onto the inside of the channel and they are a &^%$#@ to get out..I feel like I'm gonna take the whole frame out if I force it...

Thinking Goo Gone on a Q tip to jam up there to loosen things up

I can't imagine they are made so they never come out (which I guess is the idea if you are gonna keep them in)

Ideas?

Could not get used to the reduced vision looking out to my left when taking corners and not to mention I noticed the inside of my drivers window wet when I put the windows down and back up again...coincidence? Probably but you know the dealer is gonna blame the vents

I wonder what the return policy is on these things?

Could do that however 1 rear window vent would need some new tape on it...still waiting for the other rear one to come in as the original was broken
