Seating problem

My wife and I just finished a three hour drive in our 09 HHR. We have the cloth seats - I had a cramp on the bottom of my right leg about 2/3 of the way to the knee where the edge of the seat hits.

We are considering a second HHR - so the leather seats help this? We are going to be on the road to the tune of about 24,000 mile per years for the next few years and are looking for some improvement in this area.

Thanks

Leather seats

The leather seats, which are optional in the 2LT and possibly the 1LT as well, have a separate lumbar adjustment. However, upgrade to multiply-adjustable seats doesn't require leather. The power driver's seat is added at the 1LT option level. Are you driving an LS?

Here is a stupid question... what side do your wear your wallet? I have had this happen on long road trips to the point where my wallet is in the dash most of the time. There really isn't much padding there, and the seat is a tad short on leg support

Must be an individual thing. I find the SS seats the most comfortable and supportive of anything I've ever driven. I hate my wife's Honda Civic seats for long trips, I cramp up big time. I use a little seat cushion from wallyworld and it raises my thigh up higher and helps. (I'm 5'11")

I have a 1LT with power seat - my lumbar region is not my problem - it's the underside of my right leg where the seat edge hits it. My left is not a problem since I can, and do, move that one. I could tilt the seat forward a bit, but that seems like an odd position that would get old for other reasons.

My precise question is: Is the front edge of the leather seats any softer than the cloth? It's clear that the circulation is being cut off.

Thanks
