Shifter interloc switch?

I assume that what it is called , Anyway I am referring to the transmission safety lock on the brake pedal that let the Shifter out of drive. When it is freezing out I have to step on the brake a few times so I can move the shifter! The other day it was a tad cooler like 6 deg F and it was a real booger to move! Stepped on and off the pedal several time then all was fine ! I am assuming that the safety switch is sticking? I had that happen on my service van a few years ago I believe! SO what is your 2 cents? Am I on the right track ? Anyone know the part #?
2011 Auto 2.2. Ignition switch changed for the recall!(no issue )
Thanks Rich

I remember some prior postings that said a good shot of WD40 will usually free up a sticking shifter interlock.

The solenoid is on the shifter. You may be able to get it fixed under extended warranty, if they can make it happen at the shop.

The only part is the entire shifter.

Use the search term "shifter stuck", this is a common problem.

Give the switch a little shot of spray lube, have a paper towel ready to catch any overspray and drips
Keep warm!

Here is a you tube link to the fight if your interested! This is the first time NEF streamed a fight so it isn't great, sound cuts out but video is good,, the mark starts w/Ruben and I need to figure out how to adjust the start time to when Adam show up. Adam is in the Red corner
Cell phone video. Not great but you get the idea of what's going on :)
