If it is blowing fuses then 2 wires are are shorting when the switch is used. What has been worked on recently?

You question is pretty condensed. Just one mirror? Does the fuse blow when operating up/down, or left/right, or both?

Generally speaking, an overloaded motor will draw too much power.

A corroded motor or mechanism will cause an overload. So will a motor winding or wiring short.

You should be able to test the mirror assembly by unplugging it and testing its function with 12V directly.

I’m going to guess that if there is something wrong with a motor or mechanism, that just replacing the whole mirror is best. Maybe someone else here actually, knows.

From my experience, replacing the driver’s mirror first is good rule of thumb, not many adjust the the passenger’s mirror.
