so much rattling
so much rattling
its late november now, its colder out now, and i know people have said the engine kind of sounds like a diesel when it gets colder out, but is there any fix to this?
plus im noticing that EVERYTHING now is rattling and its driving me nuts. There is a rattle in my passenger door, the rear hatch area, the dash is rattling but nothing is loose! Is all this common?
on a side note: can the TPMS sensors just be installed in the tire and it will start working? or does the dealer need to assign them to the vehicle? or is it just the normal 'reset' feature for the tpms

Plastic clip on parts make noises, start Fixing them if they bother you.
It's pretty simple most panels just Pop off with a Pull. Look for plastic clips on the outside edges they look like a rivet, just slightly push the little center point IN and then Pull the whole clip out.
Foam like for windows and AC units with one side peel n stick stuff takes up the looseness and quiets things down alot and it's very simple to do.
I went with complete sound deadening myself and added some foam in places to keep things Very quiet.
The foam compresses behind interior panels as they are popped back on keeping them tight.

Mine squeaked a lot the first winter I got it. Used some oderless valve oil from my band teacher friend and dripped it inbetween the plastic on plastic seams (like around the gear shifter area) worked like a champ and I've not hear them 4 years later.
