Spiral Drilled Rotors

Not a how to.........a How to?

I just received my drilled rotors, took a few weeks, longer than expected cause UPS lost 'em in MI.
They're drilled in a spiral pattern and there is deffinately a left and a right.
How do I know the best/correct side to put them?
Does it make a difference?

Their not marked?? Every directional rotor I've ever gotten has had a marking on it somewhere. Usually on the hub area.

My assumtion is the spiral should flow "outward" to "throw" the heat off?
Does that make sense?

it depends on the school of thought......some say that you want it like the pic shown in the link to (fling the whatever away) then others say you want them the other way to "pull" the rotor and pad inward to help bit more.....but realistically I think the difference is sooo small that in the real world we would never tell the difference....in the end go with what you like.

Send them back for non drilled rotors. They work better.

If the internal fins are straight, then it's up to you how you want then installed. If the internal fins are curved, then have then "fling" away. Pointed towards the rear when at the top....
