Squirley off the line and clutch question

I have yet to use the launch control. I sort of did once but it didnt seem to work. Someone had mentioned they did something with the front end to keep it from getting out of control launching off the line. Any suggestions?

Clutch. A few years back I kept having to take my 2008 SS in due to a sensor issue. When they had replaced it twice and it still didnt cure it I said to hell with it put a whole new clutch in. Replace everything. That should make the issue go away. It didn't. The check engine light I found I can just reset the codes and it goes away. So I am done screwing with that issue.

When they replaced the clutch if I remember right it wasn't long before I started to spin my clutch when I would start off. Or even going down the free way if I hit the gas I would have to back it down so it could catch up and engage. It is really bad now.

I have a good mechanic and he said it was the clutch. He told me he couldn't find the "clutch kit" as he called it. I checked with a few parts stores and pretty much SOL with all of them. So hoping to get one through GMPpartsdirect. I just have no idea what I am supposed to be ordering. I dont see a listing for a clutch kit. He said that he wont know if it's anything with the clutch plate until its off. But we should start by putting a new clutch kit in. Can anyone point me to what it is I need to order to replace the clutch?

Oh one other thing. Rear Liftgate. I had some know rear end me and run. So now I am going to have to replace it. Any suggestions on the best place to look for the entire lifthatch?

Why did you replace the clutch for a pedal sensor code?
Stiffer motor mounts fron places like ZZP help with the torque steer.
Junkyards are full of HHRs. They are all the same.

You were (and sounds like still are) getting a code related to the clutch pedal position sensor. The sensor was replaced, twice, but didn't solve the problem. Someone should have thought to look at the wiring.

Try Turbo Tech Racing for their clutch kit
