struggle starting in cold
I have a 2010 LT with about 137,000 miles on it. The last three times i started it in the morning ( temps where between 15 and 8 degrees). The car would turn over and try to start and sometimes when it did start it stalled right away. When it was running at first, the car would shake and it seemed like it was starving for fuel. Once it cleared up, it ran fine. Battery is about a year old. Did not start it this morning, drove truck in this time. There are no engine codes at this time either.

Could well be the fuel pump/fuel rail not holding pressure after it is shutdown and it sits awhile. Can you check the fuel pressure to see if it is bleeding off as it sits? I think it is supposed to hold in the area of 50psi in the rail.

Did not get fuel pressure tested yet but last time in shop it was fine. Forgot to get battery tested when I got a check engine light last night and its running rich again (P0172). But after dropping kid off at daycare this morning, engine light is off now. No vacuum leaks found or cracks in flex pipe since it was in shop last time. What else could cause a rich condition and not throw a code if it can happen.

Well that P0172 code tells me to inspect and clean the MAF sensor, check the harness for loose or bent pins, it might not be reconnected after the last time in the shop.
That's when this started wasn't it?
