Its kind of nice when you only go to the dealer maybe 2 or 3 times a year and they remember you and your car. Also, 27 point check came back good(I guess I am one of the lucky ones who has no major problems as of yet), rotated the tires(still pretty good with 38.5K), and changed the oil.

Eventhough I was without my car for 2 days, I am still a very happy SS owner, I think the dealer experience played a part in that.

good to hear.....dealers down here suck...ive been to 3 of them and i couldnt even get parts replace under warranty when they were bad

I love new technology, but I miss -- throttle cables, steering columns, brake cables, distributors, etc. You just about have to be an engineer to play with these cars.
Just the other day, while I was getting a security inspection (checking for bombs), I started looking for my throttle cable because of the Toyota flap. You'd think that after all the work and miles I have put on this car, I would have noticed. Ain't technology great?

Oh yeah, possibly the order in which door open, hood open remote start blah, blah blah.

I just thought, did you by any chance check to see if you were using the key with the + on it?

Here is my thought. I bet after you were vaccuming the car and close the doors, when you closed the doors something mechanical got "bumped" back right.

Theft mode does not lock-up the ignition cylinder. They did the right thing in replacing it. This should fix your problems.
