Stupid suspension noise!!!!
i have had my car in like 5 tor 6 times for a bumping noise in my front end i can feel it in the floor board. its real bad when it cold outside. next week I'm going to take it back in for the same problem, so far they replaced a strut and the steering column, and to no avail it didn't fix it. so my first question is, Is the intermediate shaft part of the steering column? is it replaced when the steering column is replaced? second question. since i have had it in for that problem i have put Eibach pro kit lowering springs on and EBC brake rotors and pads on my car. will they refuse to fix this under warranty even though i had it in 6 times before i did the mods? Any help is much appreciated. thanks!

Chad,
Now to type what I think may be the fix is going to get my quote on another thread. ( the premium members know what i am saying here.)
Steering shaft is not part of the column. By what you have stated I think it is the intermediate shaft. Chad, they need to lubricate the shaft and stroke it! This is done by removing the shaft, applying a special grease and then exercising the shaft by stroking it back and forth 10-15 times.
If that doesn't fix it they need to replace it but I suggest they do the prior even to the new one to make sure the lube is properly distributed.
Okay I typed it, now one of you go have your fun reposting it.

LMAO love it haha well thanks man, you think they will reufuse to do work on it with my new mods "second question. since i have had it in for that problem i have put Eibach pro kit lowering springs on and EBC brake rotors and pads on my car. will they refuse to fix this under warranty even though i had it in 6 times before i did the mods?" Also it does this noise when turning also would the intermediate shaft cause that too?

I have a clunk in the back of mine. When I had it in to scan for the ridiculously F'd up mileage, dude took one look under the car, saw the swaybar and goldline levelers and says, there's your problem. I asked him to take a look anyways. He brought it to the bay and lifted it. Then he went to the can, got a soda, talked to other techs ( I was spying ). Brought it back to me and said it was the mods without so much as looking.
I have called Guido on this and it will be handled. LOL GOOD LUCK
