driving today about 55-60 mph. told my wife we sure had a lot of wind noise. opened roof screen to see if sunroof was open. wasn't; so closed screen most of way. couple of miles further sunroof exploded. pulled over, big hole in middle rest shattered. on chevy forum someone with 06 hhr had same thing happen to him. this is a 08 SS under 15,000 mi. no accidents or problems. dealer says about $600 to fix. I have probably used sunroof 5 times. still don't like them, now I have reason not to.

 

Shouldn't this be covered under Bumper to Bumper?

 

I think I'll checkI bought the Chevy extended warr. but the warr says glass not covered. over 3 yrs old

 

Or comprehensive insurance, call you insurance company, then shop for a glass shop that will waive the deductible. Glass claims do not influence your rate or re-insuring rating. If the auto insurance strikes out try your homeowners if you got it.

 

@mountainman, what did the dealership say about your question of the Bumper To Bumper warranty? I have already started to look into this for you, but I need this information to proceed further if I have to.

expired over 3 yrs old. extended warr excludes glass. insur will pay dealer says $1000. they say unknown why.
