Sway bars

I posted a few weeks ago into a rattling noise in my car and was wondering if it was covered under the extended warranty. Well, took my car in last night to my Chevy dealer and they heard the rattling noise and said it was indeed the sway bars. They called this morning to say the sway bars were fixed and there was no more rattling. It was also covered under my extended warranty which is through GM.

So, lets hope when I pick it up this evening after work there will be no more rattling. I'm glad the extended warranty covered it. The service dept. has been good to me, in May they replaced every port to my transmission and was in there for a week do to my RPMs jumping. Then the rattling noise came.

Now, the only thing left to do is to get the brakes checked out because I'm having a bit of a shaking problem when stopping. I should have an almost new car by the time I'm done if no more problems arise.

@remharri, I am glad that your rattling situation has been resolved and was covered under your warranties.

I hope that all goes well with your brakes.

Please, don't hesitate to contact me with comments, questions and/or concerns.

If you would like me to process your compliment about your dealership, just give me the word and I will get it done.

Angry

DaGrinch - I have almost 47k on mine.

FYI -

I was cleaning the inside of my car out today and noticed to dents on the front sides of the car. I'm pretty positive it's from the dealership, how would there be 2 in the same spots? It's been 4 days since I've had it home from the dealer, I hope they fix this. I'm really upset with this and hope they will fix it. What would be the likely hood I would end up with 2 dents in 4 days on both sides of the cars.

Not sure how they fix the sway bars - but my dad says looks like it's from leaning on the car. Anyway, just an update. Urghhhh

Very thin metal on these cars.... you can't lean on them. Hope the dealer owns up to it and doesn't pull the "those must have there before" routine.

Update - Took it in today and only the assistant service manager was in. He took photos of both dents on both sides and said he would email it off to the body shop to see how long it would take. But, he still has to check with and have the service manager check it out. Seems like they might be fixing it with out a hassle. Will keep you all posted.

Must be common, my dealer looked at it, and how I take care of it, and just called the paintless guy and fixed them, pretty slick, they are gone, all 3 of them.
