the thermostat blew at 40,000 i replaced it

Unless you just hate dealerships or love installing stats, next time you can get Chevy to replace it. It's covered by Power Train Warranty.

My thermostat went a few weeks ago @ about 58k...and it just happened to do it at the track:skull1:

Old thermostat. You can see the seal just came apart. Coolant temp would not go back up to operating temp on the way home. Dropped to 160ish a few times on the highway.
