TPM Switched

I just added air to my tires after sitting in the garage for a while. In checking the tire pressure monitor it seems that the front and rear are switched. How do I get them back to where they should be? I can't find my manual so no luck in looking there. Will I need a special tool to do a reset on my 2010? Thanks for any help. Chuck

Yes, you will need the tool to relearn the sensors. It’s not that expensive and real easy. I just googled EL 50448 and ordered one from Amazon , but they might be some on EBay.

This is the matching process

I thought you could do it by initiating it from the DIC and letting air out of the tires one at a time to tell it where each tire is. You might look at the manual.

Or you could rotate the tires. That's how the sensors got misplaced.

Thanks, Oldblue. Reminds me to get that tool. I’ve tried the letting-the-air-out process several times, never successfully. Fortunately, our local Chevy dealer does it for me for free, at the desk, in about thirty seconds, and they don’t even write it up.

Thanks for the replies. BTW, these tires HAVE NOT been rotated. I guess I will need to get the tool so I can re-calibrate the sensors. I did get a message prior to this to service the tire pressure sensor. Then it just went away. So what is the tool exactly and where might I find it? Chuck
