Don't do it if you need a smog in the next 30 days. Resetting the computer will make it better until it runs the test again. Pulling the battery cable makes the OBD2 reset to "new" so, every test must run as if it just rolled out of the factory.

The P0700 is a notification of a non-specific transmission problem. I would keep driving it, it should give you a specific transmission code soon.

Ok, then just unplug the TCM and reconnect it. If you need a smog test soon.

What about the pressure control solenoid? It just slams the gears?
Scan the TCM.

So I drove it about fourteen miles to work. No problems until I got very close. I also noticed that the temperature was about 201 when I started having problems. I drove it back home from work with the air conditioner on, the temperature remained around 185 to 190. And I never had a problem. Does anyone have any helpful hints?

You need to monitor the pressure with your scan tool.
