trouble with codes
2009-- 2.2 hhr lt
first it ran ok very little trouble with idle i think you called it surging it never would run wright more downshifting.very little pressure on gas i did some of the fix to take care of the codes.. some codes are new ok just the codes and help!!! now it idle fine but when the engine downshifting it dies impossible to drive PO101 PO102 PO103, and PO113 |
check that the plug for the Mass Air Sensor is plugged in tightly. it's plugged in inder the air box, before the throttle body. 101, 102 103 and 113 are air flow issues picked up by sensor.

look at the bottom of this post. there's a thread with a list of codes...
|
I bet this started right after a air filter inspection/change.

still trouble
you know besides the codes it keep popping up
( surging, ) i did allot of tests i know it helped but this surging is pulling my hair out can you tell me did allot of people end up with transmission problems?? give it a little or steady push on the pedal every thing works. what i have to wait to see what codes come back on i am not sure what repair shop to go to. |
Not many problems with trans.
What did you do with our advice? Sounds like the MAF connector is loose, wire broken or bad MAF. |
codes-- service
i took the MAF off clean it real good used gloves
i always listen for the click it could have a wire broke intake and exhauth sensors new plugs also replaced one coil pressure all numbers are in range 70 to 65 all cylinders new thermastat and new fluid. ac now works changed the oil and filter the gas held 60 lbs of pressure while testing inline spark all were the same did not see any breaks or miss over all starts and idles good i replaced air filter .. someone posted that they or me when i changed it surging started looking back it wasn't doing any surging when i bought the car i need a spell check where?? |
If you only have 65-70 psi on your compression test, that is extremely low. You should do a wet test, and maybe a leak down test.
