vibration

I have a 2011 2.2 liter hhr with automatic tranny. I am having an engine/tranny vibration. When I put the tranny in reverse the car is vibrating. I can also feel it when in Park, Neutral or Drive but not as bad. It also seems to get a little worse if I have my foot on the brake. It also happens in reverse and drive with the e-brake on. I am wondering if I might have a vacuum leak. I can not feel it when the car is moving.

I would look at the flex pipe or maybe trans/motor mounts. Why would you suspect a vac leak?

It could be a transmission mount or upper engine mount, the source of the vibration.

X2 (or 3?) that's the most likely cause. Yes, it could be a vacuum leak, which would cause a vibration, but that's not as likely. I haven't had a vacuum leak on a car in many years. Hoses are made so much better than years ago that's it's rare.

Hmm what about the brake booster vacuum hose? Is the fitting cracked off ?
