warranty?

I have to take mine for the blower motor, started squeeling 2 days ago. Also going to have them check out the "clunk" in the front end. They "reminded" me on the phone my warranty expires this year, either at 36609 (when I go it) or Sept 30. I told them I was informed that the powertrain warranty was extended to 5/60. They said it wasn't.

ChevyMrg, has it changed to a 5/60 or do I have a 3/36? I never got a letter, but I know my mother did get one on here 06 Cobalt. When I look up warranty info online, it does show the 06 HHR having a 5/60 powertrain, but of course it was originally a 3/36. I just passed 32K on the clock right now.

If it has, anyway I can get something in writing to show it was extended? Or should I really start considering the GMPP extended......

There is no powertrain warranty on an '06 HHR. Just the 3/36 and 8/80 on the ECM and the Catalytic Converter.

Only the 2005 and 2006 Aveos and Cobalts had the 5/60 powertrain.

I would have sworn you told me that the 06 HHR had been extended.....

Oh well, still under it for now and have some time to think it all over still.

Wait...I'm lost?

I thought ALL GM cars had a 5yr/100,000 powertrain warranty?

Doesn't GM certified used have that though? I'm sure that's what the dealer told me when I bought mine....

Regardless, mine has 2 years left on it (the paperwork says), but I just thought all GM cars had that.

Now you are talking a whole new subject when you bring up Certified Used Cars.

I am only going to go back to 2002 and this is for non-diesel light duty vehicles.

2002-2006 (All except Aveo & Cobalt) = 3/36
2005 & 2006 Cobalt & Aveo = 3/36 and 5/50 powertrain
2007-2009 (All) = 3/36 and 5/100 powertrain
2002-2006 Certified Used Vehicles bought after 2/2/07 = 3/36 and 5/100 powertrain.

This gets me thinking as well

My 3 yr is up in June (no call yet received by GM or the dealer) I 'm wondering if purchasing an extended warranty is worthit? Any ball park figure as to how much it would cost?

I plan on holding onto the vehicle beyond the completion of car payments (6/2011), 21k on the odometer with no issues (knock on wood) so far except for the pulsing rotors when braking. I just put a catback system and may lower it in the future. So this kind of puts me on the fence flipping a coin.

If I'm off topic, let me know and I'll post a new thread.

At this point, makes no differance anyway. Better to find out before the 3/36 expires so I at least still have the opportunity to get the GMPP if I decide to. Maybe it was jus the Cobalt part I was remembering. When I'm there on Monday, I'll get their prices and then compare those online. Plus with the situation they are in, might not be a bad idea to wait a few months anyway.....

I definately put more miles on it since I moved though, last June I was only at 21K, this morning I saw 32111 on the clock.... But it's the first time I've had to take it in for something other than a recall or TSB.
