Thanks Don, my AAA replacement battery from the dead battery event back in April 2010 is a Group 48. The AAA guy offered it to me because of me being a Canadian.

Ok I went to crank car tonight after work and it wouldn't crank. So tow truck gave me a jump and car started. While driving to advance auto I notice the speed wasn't changing and it wasn't changing gears. When it finally change gears it pop up and said power steering across where the miles of the car appear. Pull in and purchase new battery , the power steering message went away and attempt to drive home but wouldn't change gears again. Call the tow truck .. He drove the car around the parking lot and it finally change gears but the speedometer is jumping up and down. So I got him to tow the car home. What could be wrong?

First look at the large red wire connection to the underhood fuse box.

How did the tow driver hook the jump cables up?
