mine's not quite flush since I had my windshield replaced, I almost busted the guys nuts about it, but honestly, I didn't pay much attention to it before, so not sure if it was already like that and I just never noticed

 

Both sides were clogged, and the oval shaped drain was laying on it's side. My guess is that was where they were entering from. Luckily none inside the vehicle!

you can see the black RTV sealant on the windshield, with the ribs from the underside of the cowl
