Windshield washer not spraying

Well have new issue to fix now. My front window washers does not spray. Before car went into shop it worked. I can hear the pump working. While under car with someone pushing the button in the car. I seamed to be leaking right near the firewall behind a padding of some sort right above the sway bar bushing. Does it seam that a line has just come off of pump? No leaking unless you try to clean the front windshield. Where is the windshield washer pump located?

Not positive, but I suspect it is attached to the bottom of the washer reservoir tank.

Why don't you contact the shop that worked on the car and see if they will take a look to see if they might have caused the problem??
If they are a reputable shop, that should not be a problem for them to do it for you.

If you open the hood you can see the pump and the hoses attached to the washer reservoir.

When the pump fails it leaks onto the ground, new part cost about $40 no tools required. The pump is held in by friction, just pry the tab at the top ( you can break it) and it pops out (dumping the contents of the tank) be sure to use the new grommet included.

It is so expensive because it ONLY is used on HHR.

What work was being done in the shop?
If it involved removing the wiper cowling, they probably didn't reattach the tube to sprayers.

That would be my guess, easy to knock off the hose when working in that area.

Problem solved. Window guy forgot to reconnect the line to spray nozzle.

Knowing that the window guy did some work would have been great to know from the onset. Sure would have made for a speedy diagnosis. Keep in mind that recent work quite often is the cause of a subsequent problem.

With my car going from shop to shop, didn't think about the window that was installed. Thanks for the help everyone. Will keep that in mind Whopper when a problem comes up again.
