Wiper Blades not Completing Track

Wiper Blades not Completing Track
Hi I'm hoping someone can help with this....
Firstly, replaced the wiper transmission about 8 months ago so it's not that.
Shortly after that was replaced I replaced windshield wiper blades. Some idiot kid at Auto zone insisted on putting them on for me since I'm a girl and how could I ever know how. Whatever... they weren't installed right came off in a torrential downpour and since then I've been having major issues.
The wipers are getting stuck, only completing half their track, with a lot of "stuttering motion" but occasionally would do a full run if on high. Driver side blade does not make full contact with the windshield at the bottom only of the blade once it reaches halfway.
Today i disassembled the whole thing, because i noticed the motor was sliding along the upper stationary arm of the transmission. I can see where there are "pressure" marks that indicate where the mount should be seated, but it wasn't flush and was causing the stuttering. Slipped a piece of rubber matting in there no more movement.
So I reassemble everything thinking I have it back to where it needs to go, make sure the wiper motor is in park reattach blades.
The problem is wipers are still only moving half way along their track. without the wipers the motor looks like it is making full strokes. I have motor power at high Mid and Int.
Could the problem be simply that the driver's side arm is bent and not making full contact along the path? If I apply a little pressure above the spring it works okay. Would this affect the path of the passenger side arm?
I have an arm on order but my inspection is up and before I go toss another $50 at the dealer I want to make sure it's not going to be something else.

Welcome to the site, please have a look at the pictures in post #14 of this thread about wipers, there maybe something here that does not look like your wiper set up.

I certainly hope this helps you.
Enjoy that HHR

Oldblue is just saying look at the pictures for comparison.
Just because the OP replaced some parts, doesn't mean there still can't be issues.
Wrong parts, bent parts, broken parts, installation error, etc.
By comparing those pics to his, the OP may notice some difference.

Of course he isn't - hence the "there maybe something here that does not look like your wiper setup". He is offering up a chance to look at how the motor and linkage is laid out, to verify hers is setup ok.
