i have a 2006 2lt with a pioneer unit. when i start the car the radio is fine. then after about 2 minutes it shuts off and restarts with a shut off sound through the speakers. once it comes back on its fine. a bit annoying.

i did a search for this issue and it doesnt seem that others have had this specific problem. anyone run across this?? anyone know a fix to this besides leaving the radio volume low for the 1st 5 minutes???

It sounds like a failing head unit, more specifically a failing amplifier in the head unit to me.

I'm sure one of our audio experts might have more insight for you.
