I used my Escort performance meter a couple of days ago, and I wanted to share the results. My ride is a 06 2.4 auto with CGS intake/outlaw filter, Autolite plugs, IMCO muffler with modified lake pipe/dual exhaust (partially open) and Tunetime computer recalibration. My run was entering the LIE, so it was not optimum conditions. I began on the entrance lane, had to turn onto the highway which then curved and went slightly uphill. Plus, I had my son in the car along with about 100 pounds of stuff in the trunk. So the car should be .2 or .3 quicker then my times. Still, I was pretty happy. Here they are:
0-60: 7.80
1/4 mile ET: 16.05
1/4 mile MPH: 83.8

C'mon, people. 61 views, and no comments?
Potential mid 15's from a daily driver, with similar mods to most of you guys and gals? Isn't anybody impressed, disappointed, happy, sad, or anything???

What could happen to the tune? I figure that as long as the car can rev in neutral, then the rest of the tune must be working. The IMCO muffler is not really much louder than the stock, IMO, and with it fully connected the intake is a little noisey (but I like that sound). Remember, though, I have the ability open the exhaust a little or a lot, so with it totally open it is kind of loud in the car, and I am told it is pretty loud outside. And, the car still has the resonator and catalitic converter.

I took my 2.2L HHR down the drag strip last week. I went to a friend's car-meet they have every year at the Prairie Hill Drag Park, in Prairie Hill, Texas.
Here are the numbers:
Reaction: 0.341
60': 2.683
1/8 time: 11.306
1/8 speed: 63.25
1/4 time: 17.540
1/4 speed: 77.38
I got beat by a Kia Spectra...

I did it in regular drive. Alien-do you have any work on your 2.2?
When I do get to the track, I will make a run in L, another in D, in a combination of both closed and open exhaust (so I need to make at least 4 passes). Plus, I will weigh the car. My 1977 Datsun 280 Z was an actual 2708 with me in it and 1/2 tank of gas plus tools, etc in the trunk. I used a lot of fiberglass replacement parts and removed the bumpers and replaced them with home made tubelar bars. I had a total race suspension and mild engine work (I had plans to put in a small block Chevy so I did not get too crazy with the original 6 banger) and the car still did 15.7 (stock according to Car and Driver was 17.2). I was quite happy with those times.
If my HHR is in the mid to high 15's I will be very satisfied. I am looking into the lighter pulleys for my next mod (not counting the leveling springs that I am expecting to arrive any day now). And I would love to dump my heavy 10 inch sub enclosure tube if I can figure out a way to get it working good in the stock location like a couple of other people have done.
