Talking BAT RIDE VS. Mazdaspeed 6

So i'm in the fast lane (left) on a three lane highway , Lady infront of me texting , Oblivious to her driving and everyone in the world passing her on the right , So i ride her for a half mile , She finishes with her text , And realizes it's time to switch lanes , And shes half way out of my lane doing 65 , I drop it to 3rd and lightspeed by her, And that fast , Theres a mazda Speed 6 on my ass out of nowhere , So my simple (and violent) pass of a lame azz texter. turns into a drag race from 65- 110 , 115 ish . It was a 2005-2006 i think.

I thought the speed 6's were faster , My wife has a 2006 mazda 6 and it's pretty quick when you self shift it, Figured the speed 6's were twice as fast.

Not ,

I countiued to pull away from him , Slowly but surely, After putting 6-7 lenths on him, i realized how fast we were going and shut it down, He did the same and i let him pass, I got a peace sign and a smile, He got a smile and a head nod.
Thought he'd kill me with those EVO air diffusers on his roof,

The SS never stops suprising me with the kills it scores. Half the time i think i'm going to get my azz handed to me , And it just dos'nt happen.

Nice run! The 'speed 6's are on the heavyish side, but do have a decent V6 IIRC. I know the Mazdaspeed 3's are very similar to what we have as far as power goes. It's funny how "comfy" the SS feels at 120-130 though; you think you're doing 80 and look down at the speedo... whoops! lol.

Just looked up the specs per Car+ Driver- they're not as powerful as I thought: 274hp, 280lbs/tq from a boosted I4, not a V6 and are porkish @ 3600lbs! That's due to the AWD system though...

MS6 is a direct injected turbo 4pot. AWD 6spd only. Much better out of the hole than on the highway. My best friend has one. '06-07 were the only years produced (in America). Bone stock, they should run high 13.90's-14.teens, depending on driver.

I know plenty of people with modded ms6s and they will not run a 13 bone stock. I've been told they have trouble getting into the high 13s with a tune and few bolt ons, turbo is smaller than ours, weighs an extra 400lbs and has bad drive loss.
