Carolina Cobalt track day

I met up with a bunch of Cobalts for a track day yesterday and got to get my baseline runs in so I can start modding. I was pretty happy with my results as they consistently got better as the day went on. This front wheel drive stuff is alot different then rear wheel.
I got 7 runs in and this track was an 1/8 mile.

1st 2 runs - Made the mistake of trying the Launch control on street tires.
1. 60' - 2.343 1/8 - 9.712@76.40MPH
2. 60' - 2.447 1/8 - 9.835@26.55MPH(MPH was screwed up on that run)
3. 60' - 2.351 1/8 - 9.709@77.05MPH
4. 60' - 2.282 1/8 - 9.606@77.61MPH
5. 60' - 2.260 1/8 - 9.571@77.43MPH
6. 60' - 2.432 1/8 - 9.959@72.78MPH(Spun off the line and missed 3rd)
7. 60' - 2.198 1/8 - 9.402@78.15MPH(Video)

The last run was a great race between me and an '08 Cobalt SS with Exhaust. He ran a 9.382@79.29MPH. He tree'd me pretty good but I made it up on the 60' and he started to pull me on the top end, but it was a great run. Here's a picture of everybody lined up before we went home. http://i127.photobucket.com/albums/p...t/panorama.jpg

Thanks for sharing, and keep us posted on the times after the mods.

Also, thanks for representing the HHRs

Those guys weren't so bad, were they?

Besides feeling like I was "dad" around kids, they were great.

I'm meeting up with some Cobalts again this weekend and we're hitting the 1/4 mile. I'm gonna try my butt off to rep the HHR SS to some impressive stock times before I add my tune next week. Realistically I hope to pull off a mid 14 but will piss my pants if I can get 14.4 or possibly 14.3.

Bodywerks, you really need to wait until beerthirty before you start drinking. I am going to the track this weekend and I am hoping for 14.5-14.3.
