Hugger, I could be wrong, but a crappy launch can result in higher trap speeds...Ive trapped 80.XX and run 9.2X...but I always thought the ET was the important part...but I'm kinda new to the bracket racing thing so I may be wrong

You def gain a few mph with an avg launch.

I trapped 105 on street tires but I didn't post that. Lol

But if the et is similar and the trap is higher on one, a roll would be one sided.

I hear ya hugger.
I need to add another list showing fastest 1/4 mph top ten.
Its all in fun. From a roll I have no doubt you would be pulling on me.
I also have no doubt that you are making more power than the gmtu I have.
Mph is a great indicator of HP. I remember back in the day we had a street car running 10.2x @140.
Then after tubbing it and a mild upgrade of cams and valve size 9.0@150 is what it ran that was extremely fast for a street car 20 plus yeas ago.
Now a friend of mine runs 4.xx @150 mph in the eighth on adrag radial.
Makes me wonder what's next.
Either way the hhrs are still great little sleepers in my opinion.

Badass yes
Et is all that matters in drag racing.
I have been beet before running say a 10.80 by a car that ran 10.6 with much lower mph.
With bracket racing consistency is the way to win.
And of course cutting a good light.
Now a days I just go for fun still looking to go 13.99 just on the gmtu.
And a 9.99 with my studebaker
Looks like its next year for that

Good points.
The track is fun fur et...but I sharp like to hit a crazy tall cuz it tells me how good a roll would be since that's a majority of the races on the street.

I want my hhr to run what my cobalt did and I'll be happy .. 13.6 @ 109

Funny you say that because around here its always been the 1/4 or 1/8th runs that matter
Guess it depends on where you are at.
