pulled out onto a 4 lane divided highway and approaching in the far lane. i trolled along in 2nd at around 30-35 waiting for him. he knew what i was up to cause he kept poppig his bov as if i was to be afraid. we hit it and at the end of 2nd i was pulling away and after shifting into 3rd i had pulled on him by a length and a half . we slowed down for some traffic. he still kept popping of his bov...now im thinking how are you supposed to scare me now if i just beat you

now this guy was obviously modded...bov, exhaust, intercooler, don't know what else. i have the hahn tune and otherwise stock.

 

What's a BOV?

 

Blow off valve. Aka wastegate. It let's off extra boost pressure.

 

BOV Blow off valve. It stops the turbo from chattering when the throttle is closed and boost stacks up. It opens up and releases the pressure. Stacking is bad for the turbo bearings.

It performs a different function then the wastegate which controls boost pressure.

Well how smart can you be for still having an SRT4

 

You really don't know anything about the neon srt-4 and you joke about it? You don't really understand how easy they are to mod and be fast as hell. I'll admit there are srt-4 drivers out there who tarnish the name, but all makes of cars have them. Blowing off your bov to other drivers is bush league. The driver was an idiot, but no reflection on the car. I've still got my '05 that's running 350 hp and corners like it is on rails. It's a blast to drive. I'd be pretty stupid to get rid of a car that puts most cars on the road to shame.

 

How exactly do you know what I do or don't know? It simply a joke. Nothing more, nothing less. I could understand you getting upset if you were the guy in the srt4 we were all poking fun at, but you're not.

And I really do understand that the srt4 neons are one of the cars that you can make quick as hell fairly easily. There's a guy runnin around my town with one that runs in the low 13's/ high 12's with just bolt-ons.

But back to the reason for the post, gook kill on the srt4
